French Victorian and Art Deco Porcelain Urn Lamp by Ullrich 1940's-Sold!
Beautiful tall urn shape lamp in asparagus green and pink with applied floral details. A mixture of Victorian and Art Deco, this lamp is urn shaped in form. It is created from ceramic, and has two decorative handles at the sides with gold painted detail. The handles are curved and in the shape of a flower. The body of the lamp is broad through the middle, and tapers down to a square base. The body is covered in a bright pink swirled glaze throughout. At the front, a bouquet of flowers in pink, yellow and green on a cream background serve as a focal point. Signed Ullrich at the top right corner of the bouquet in pink. The base is square, and Art Deco in style. A lovely pairing of Victorian style and Art Deco. A great example of the 1930s and 1940s decor. The corners of the square base are covered in a gold paint, while the space between has molded line details that run vertically. This table lamp includes the original harp. The switch at top is a push button switch, and the cord is brown and two prong. How We Would Style It: We imagine this piece in the home of a Grand Millennial who enjoys the intricate details and chintz of the 1930s. This would make a great accent lamp on a table in a formal living room.
